The Preschool program is located at 818 W. Main Street in Buffalo, MO.  Enrollment for this program is limited to 80 students. Students must be age four by July 31 of the enrolling school year and are selected through a multi-criteria process. Children must be residents of the Dallas Co R-I School District. Children must be potty trained in order to attend. The multi-criteria process prioritizes placement of children who are identified as at-risk.  Selected students attend four, half day sessions weekly.

Preschool Program Schedule

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Morning Class - 8:15 - 11:00 (Doors will open at 7:45 a.m. for drop off)
Afternoon Class - 12:15 - 3:00 (Doors will open at 12:00 p.m. for drop off)

Preschool Program Goals 
  • Students will build relationships of mutual trust and respect with adults as well as peers.
  • Students will recognize responsibility and ethical behavior by considering the perspective of others and being able to cooperate and collaborate as a member of a learning community.
  • Students will demonstrate critical thinking skills by being inquisitive, taking initiative, being confident, being inventive and being reflective.
  • Students will construct mathematical and scientific meaning by acting on objects to produce a desired effect.
  • Students will be able to use language and representational skills to communicate a variety of ways for different purposes and audiences.
  • Students will develop motor skills for personally meaningful purposes to insure a healthy lifestyle.
